Oxbow Bend

Oxbow Bend, nestled in Grand Teton National Park, is renowned for its iconic view of the Snake River against Mount Moran. In the fall, the river mirrors the vibrant golden tones of the season, creating a breathtaking scene. The ideal time to visit is early morning when the wind is still, allowing the water to perfectly reflect the majestic peaks. While there, take a leisurely walk along the shoreline—you may even encounter moose or elk in their natural habitat.

Around Downtown Jackson (Right outside our doors!)

Some of the best leaf peeping happens in Downtown Jackson Hole, right outside of Mountain Modern’s doors! Located only two blocks from Town Square, we recommend that you bundle up, grab a coffee from the Triple M, and take a stroll through our charming community. It truly is one of the most beautiful times of the year to explore the downtown area.

A Fall Hike

You cannot go wrong with a picturesque hike in beautiful Jackson Hole! In Grand Teton National Park, the popular Jenny Lake Trail offers a perfect introduction to the park’s natural beauty. For a quieter, yet equally stunning fall adventure, consider the Goodwin Lake Trail. After completing the 3-mile trek, you can extend your journey by heading to the summit of Jackson Peak, making for a more challenging 10-mile round-trip with panoramic views.

Snake River Overlook

The Snake River Overlook, just a 30-minute drive from Jackson, offers one of the most iconic views in the region. During the fall, the autumn leaves perfectly frame the winding Snake River, creating a breathtaking landscape. For an unforgettable experience, visit at sunrise or sunset when the landscape is at its most serene and the Teton Range is bathed in a soft light.

Signal Mountain Summit Road

The narrow, winding Signal Mountain Summit Road climbs 800 feet to gorgeous views of the Teton Range, Jackson Hole, and Jackson Lake. It is the perfect way to enjoy a fall day from the warmth and comfort of your car. The drive features two pull-offs where you can stop and take in the view.
