There is no end to the winter activities available in and around the valley, so plan a few days off the slopes to take advantage of them. From dog-sledding to snowmobiling, National Elk Refuge sleigh rides to winter wildlife safaris, there is something for the whole family to enjoy. Be sure to book your activities as soon as possible – they will fill up fast and you don’t want to miss out!
Get Your Gear Ready
Break out your winter gear and make sure it’s tuned up, fits well, and doesn’t need an upgrade (we’re talking to you, 10 year old pants!) You don’t want to wait until the last minute to find out your fave socks have holes in them. Need to rent your gear? Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
Winter Opening Day: 11/24/2023
This winter season will be our longest ever with skiing and riding for 143 days from 11/24/23 – 4/14/24. Daily mountain capacity will be managed once again this winter for guest safety and to elevate the guest experience. The mountain will continue to run select base area lifts at 8:30am (weather permitting) to allow guests to get up on the mountain earlier. Health and safety remains a priority for guests and staff, and JHMR will adhere to the guidance from officials and adjust mountain operations and safety protocols accordingly.
Snow King Mountain
Winter Opening Day: 12/2/2023
“The King” is Jackson Hole’s premier in-town playground for both adults and kids. From skiing to the Winter Cowboy Coaster, they have winter activities for all ages. They specialize in thrilling family attractions, gear rental, unique events, and the valley’s best views. At Snow King, you can expect memorable adventures and great stories.
The absolute best way to experience everything the King has to offer, is the Big King Pass – truly an all-in-one adventure. This one-day pass includes unlimited rides on all open winter activities including the Cowboy Coaster, King Tubes and skiing during the day and night. Grand Targhee
Winter Opening Day: 11/17/2023
Grand Targhee Resort is a year round mountain resort situated on the western slope of the Tetons in Alta, Wyoming. Located in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, the abundance of light powder snow (more than 500 inches annually) and lack of lift lines creates an uncrowded (wide open) skier and snowboarder paradise. They are continually recognized for our great snow, genuine western hospitality, scenic beauty, excellent value and commitment to sustainability.
It is recommend that tickets be purchased in advance for guaranteed access and the best pricing. You will be able to purchase full-day and half-day adult, junior, and senior tickets and Shoshone only tickets. Season passholders and Mountain Collective passholders are not required to make a reservation. Friends and family, military, and other Mountain Collective Resort passholders lift tickets do not need to be purchased in advance. They will monitor total capacity, and ticket sales may no longer be available on specific days.
