Western Nights & Carnival Lights: Summer Events In Jackson Hole

Summertime in Jackson Hole is ripe with some of the year’s best events – from live music to farmer’s markets, delectable foodie celebrations to the iconic Teton County fair. Here are some of our upcoming favorite summer events in Jackson Hole!

Jackson Hole Rodeo

Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays through Labor Day

Experience the authentic wild west at the historic Jackson Hole Rodeo – a part of Jackson’s cowboy culture since the first settlers arrived over 100 years ago. The Jackson Hole Rodeo is held at the Teton County Fairgrounds in downtown Jackson Hole and starts at 8pm on Wednesdays, Saturdays and some Fridays through Labor Day.

Summer People’s Market

Wednesdays, June 7th – September 27th

The Summer People’s Market is a family friendly farmers market held every Wednesday afternoon throughout the summer. The purpose of the event is as a market for local growers and producers; an incubator for locally-made, sustainable crafts; and a gathering space for the community to celebrate local and regional, good, clean and fair food.

Date: Every Wednesday, June 7th – September 27th
Time: 4:00 – 7:00pm
Location: Center for the Arts Lawn, 265 S Cache St, Jackson, WY 83001

The People’s Market is a vital aspect of the local food system because it allows farmers, ranchers and value-added food producers to sell direct to consumers. Direct to consumer sales help to strengthen the connection between local food and community, provide transparency in farming and ranching practices, and create cost savings for both growers and consumers by eliminating intermediate supply chain and distribution costs.

We welcome community members and visitors to take advantage of the opportunity to shop weekly at the People’s Market, purchase nutrient dense food and sustainable goods, and contribute directly to the local food economy.
