Now that the ski resorts have closed and the parks have yet to open, learn to enjoy Jackson Hole like a local in what we call the shoulder season. Sure the weather can be unpredictable, but as long as you come prepared with the right outerwear and a good sense of adventure you’ll have Jackson practically to yourself!

Fly Fishing

Get your lines wet before the snowmelt muddies the nearby Snake River. Jackson Hole is a classic anglers paradise with countless holes, streams, and the main river to choose from.  The best part? You won’t see another soul for miles.

Hiking And Snowshoeing

Depending on the snowpack by mid-April lower elevation hiking spots start to become accessible, and higher elevation is still great snowshoeing.
