How to Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Jackson Hole

Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Jackson Hole this year! From fireworks displays to private soirees, there is something for everyone. Here are just a few of the many events happening around town.

Teton Village New Years Eve Parade & Fireworks

Calling all kids for the Glow Worm Parade! This New Years’ tradition substitutes glow sticks for torch lights. We will load the Sweetwater Gondola from 4:45-5:15 and the parade will start at 5:30pm. Kids will finish at the base of Sweetwater Gondola. Come dressed in skis and boots (no poles please). Participation is free and sign-up is not required. Parents are not required to accompany skiers but are welcome to join.

The Torchlight Parade will begin shortly after the Glow Worm parade reaches the base of Sweetwater Gondola, at approximately 6pm, and fireworks will follow. Ring in the New Year in classic JHMR tradition!

Mangy Moose NYE Party w/ LowDown Brass Band & Cache Funk

Come to the Mangy Moose for a fun New Year’s Eve and watch the fireworks from the deck. The entertainment to ring in the New Year will kick off with Crazy Tom at 9pm and then ring in the New Year with Zoso who goes on at 10:30pm! Don’t miss seeing these amazing musicians. You’ll be movin’ and groovin’ the night away. BUY TICKETS >

Snow King Mountain Fireworks

Just down the street from MM, this is a fantastic option that you can walk to! The fireworks display will begin at approximately 7:30pm. This is one display that’s absolutely phenomenal over the snow-covered mountainside – you won’t want to miss it!

Kurt Van Meter @ Million Dollar Cowboy Bar

Also walking distance from MM and one of the most iconic bars to visit while in Jackson, you can ring in the new year at the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar with Kurt Van Meter! Kurt’s story is that of true American folklore . From an early age riding shotgun in his Dad’s pick up in Southern Oregon, to his football career at Oregon State University, to his stint as a Law Enforcement Officer, to his days riding bulls and listening to the all time great country artists like Kenny Rogers, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and even Box Car Willie while working the fields…. Kurt Van Meter doesn’t just sing about country music ideals — he has lived them. First come first served. Music starts at 8:30pm.
