Hot Springs Near Jackson Hole
Granite Hot Springs
Distance: 34 miles
Drive Time from Jackson Hole: 56 minutes
Best for: Adventure seekers & small groups
Granite Hot Springs is a guest-favorite, and for good reason! This fully-developed hot spring is an awesome spot to soak away the day and is open to the public throughout the year. During the winter months the hot springs are accessible only via snowmobile, dog sled, skiing and via fat biking, which makes for an incredible and unforgettable experience! Book a snowmobile or dogsled tour with a stop in the springs for a nice dip. It’s sure to be bucket-list worthy! (Note: they are closed in April and November). Adult admission: $12, Child admission: $7.
Astoria Hot Springs
Distance: 16.6 miles
Drive Time from Jackson Hole: 23 minutes
Best for: Families, kids and adventure seekers
Astoria Hot Mineral Springs is a reservation-recommended hot springs located just a half hour from Downtown Jackson Hole. This hot spring provides a beautifully maintained, pool-like experience that will melt away stress and leave you feeling rejuvenated! (They have a hot spring pool just for kids as well!) Tickets are available on their website, along with information about accessibility, picnic areas, and more. Adult admission: $25, Child admission $18. 100% of ticket sales go directly to supporting Astoria Park Conservancy.
Hot Springs Outside of Jackson Hole
Heise Hot Springs
Distance: 73 miles
Drive Time from Jackson Hole: 1.5 hours
Best for: Families w/ kids
Heise Hot Springs has a natural mineral hot spring kept at a temperature of about 104 degrees Fahrenheit. It is perfect for soaking those sore muscles and joints, sitting and relaxing, or just warming up from the cold during the winter! They also have a warm pool, which is fresh water and kept at about 92 degrees. Its temperature and shallow depths make this pool ideal for little kids and families. Open M-F, 2-10pm and Saturday & Sunday 10am – 10pm. Adult admission: $10, Child admission: $8
Chico Hot Springs
Distance: ~100 miles, through Yellowstone National Park
Drive Time from Jackson Hole: 3 hours
Best for: Adults & Couples
These 100% natural geothermal pools are infused with a variety of beneficial minerals, like silica, which softens the skin. Combined with the natural buoyancy from the increased water pressure, these mineral-rich waters offer a range of restorative benefits for both mind and body. Open 7am – 11pm daily. Adult admission: $14, Child admission: $8
Lava Hot Springs
Distance: 130 miles
Drive Time from Jackson Hole: 2.5 hours
Best for: Everyone
Bubbling out of natural underground springs, the hot water is laden with minerals, but has no sulfur odor. Over 2.5 million gallons a day flow through the hot springs and are diverted into the Portneuf River keeping the springs ever changing and clean. The spring’s temperatures range from approximately 102˚ F to 112˚ F degrees. The hot pools also have a snow melt system in the deck around them, a cold water deck shower and canopies to block the sun or rain. Open Weekdays 8am – 10pm & Weekends 8am – 11pm. Adult admission: $8 weekdays / $12 weekends, Child admission: $7.50 weekdays / $10 weekends
