This French café run by a husband-and-wife team is so trés chic it looks like it jumped straight off a Pinterest board. Think modern country style with mismatched chairs, neutral colors and of course, lots of amazing smelling treats! It’s THE place to go for a memorable sit-down breakfast, but you better get there early enough to score a table. Aside from fresh baked pastries and artisan breads, Persephone boasts a mouthwatering breakfast menu. For the savory tastebuds, try the Shakshuka or Seeded Avocado Bowl, and for the sweet tooth in you, check out the Belgian Leige Waffles or indulge in the Bread Pudding French Toast. Pearl is a local’s fave, and it’s not hard to see why. They’ve been in biz serving authentic boiled & baked bagels since 1990. In addition to bagels, they have sandwiches, salads, cookies, muffins, organic coffee, and a full espresso bar. They also offer fresh fruit smoothies during the summer and homemade soups throughout the winter. Need your caffeine fix? They’re consistently voted the locals’ favorite coffee shop.
Wise Guide Tip: They brew a mean Green Tea Latte, and if you like little spice in your life try the Mexican cream cheese.
